The country’s largest rooftop solar power plant with a capacity to produce 1.2 megawatts of electricity was inaugurated in Mashhad by knowledge-based companies and was put into operation in the presence of the governor of Khorasan Razavi, the governor of Mashhad, the mayor of Mashhad, and a group of entrepreneurs and activists in the fields of industry and sports.
In this regard, Mohammad Alizadeh, owner of the Mashhad Water Waves Sports Complex, told a reporter from the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation: This power plant, with an area of 10,000 square meters, supplies 1.2 megawatts of electricity to the distribution network daily, part of which is used in the hot water system of this water complex.
Yaqoob Ali Nazari, governor of Khorasan Razavi, stated at the inauguration ceremony of the country’s rooftop solar power plant: This project symbolizes the participation of the people in solving the country’s problems, including the issue of electricity shortage and the use of minimal facilities. Friends in the Mashhad Water Waves Complex showed that with planning and expert work, unused spaces can be used to the best advantage.
In another part of his speech, Nazari added: “Implementing projects of this model will help reduce costs and reduce the load on the circuits. We in Khorasan Razavi Province support these plans and projects in a special way, especially since the private sector is also creating businesses.”
Also, Abdul Wahid Mahdavinia, CEO of Mashhad Power Distribution Company, said in an interview with ISNA reporter at the opening ceremony of this power plant: With the investment of the private sector and the cooperation of Mashhad Power Distribution Company, today we are witnessing the Opening of the country’s largest rooftop solar power plant with a capacity of 1.2 megawatts in Mashhad.
Regarding the technical specifications of this power plant, the CEO of Mashhad Power Distribution Company noted: This power plant uses 1,799 665-watt panels with an efficiency of over 22 percent and 10 inverters using the best technology available in the world.
The duration of this project from the beginning of its implementation to the connection to the medium-pressure network was 45 working days at a cost of over 500 billion rials. It is worth noting that, in addition to the solar power plant, the largest jacuzzi and sauna complex in the east of the country, covering an area of 1,000 square meters, has also been launched in this sports complex.
Referring to the opening of the country’s largest jacuzzi in this water complex, Mohammad Alizadeh said: We launched the country’s largest jacuzzi based on the existing needs assessments in the Mashhad Water Waves complex. Given that our largest audience is pilgrims and travelers, a detailed needs assessment was conducted for this purpose and we realized that our over-45s who use this complex need a space for recreation and, of course, exercise; for this purpose, we decided to launch the country’s largest jacuzzi in our water complex and offer new services to those interested.
The owner of the Mashhad Blue Waves Sports Complex added: This jacuzzi was launched at a cost of 350 billion rials and has the capacity to accommodate 150 people at the same time. It is worth noting that this project was built in a period of 6 months and on an area of 1,500 square meters.
